Galaxy S26 Receives Fourth One UI 9 Beta Update in India

Samsung rolled out the fourth One UI 9 beta for the Galaxy S26 series in India with build firmware ending in ZZG4. Arriving roughly a month after the third beta, the update includes the July 5, 2026 security patch level alongside several bug fixes.

The software update arrives as a 1.25GB download for users currently enrolled in the beta program as an over-the-air update. According to the outlet reported, the changelog addresses numerous system problems identified in prior iterations, smoothing out specific device behaviors before the software goes mainstream.

Firmware Fixes and Security Patch Details

The newest beta build targets interface irritants that users encountered in earlier testing phases. The outlet noted that developers resolved existing problems with the clock size, Quick Panel, navigation bar, timer notifications, and the Routines app. Beyond interface repairs, the update embeds the July 5, 2026 security patch level to secure the hardware.

Interface Adjustments and Feature Additions in Android 17

Built on top of Android 17, One UI 9.0 introduces subtle visual and functional modifications following major design shifts in previous software cycles. The software will also introduce some new Galaxy AI features, including Creative Studio built directly into the stock app to let users build personalized profile cards without opening a separate utility.

Visual changes focus on touch accuracy and multimedia interactions. One UI 9.0 features thicker sliders for display brightness and volume that now fill out their full pill shapes. Furthermore, media player widgets on both the lock screen and quick panel are now resizable, displaying energetic waveform animations that match the album art while shifting certain controls to circular buttons.

Galaxy Unpacked Schedule and Rollout Timeline

The stable operating system will make its formal debut at an upcoming Samsung event. The official announcement is scheduled for July 22 at a Galaxy Unpacked event where Samsung will unveil the Galaxy Z Fold8, Fold8 Ultra, and Flip8.

Following that hardware launch, the stable rollout for older Galaxy devices will likely begin in September, prioritizing recent flagship hardware in its first phase before pushing updates to a broad ecosystem of eligible smartphones and tablets.
