Learjet Plunges Into Florida Mobile Home Park
A private Learjet 60 carrying nine people plunged from the sky and crashed into a South Florida mobile home park on Sunday, November 1, 2026, leaving behind a massive crater and a devastating scene just miles from Palm Beach.
Frantic Audio Captures Rapid Descent
Air traffic control audio captured the frantic final moments of the flight as the aircraft descended rapidly toward the Greenacres mobile home community. “Holy f–k we’re out of time,” a female crew member screamed to an air traffic controller just before the plane nose-dived into the ground around 1 p.m.
Pilot Reports Turbulence Before Mayday
Moments before the final transmission, the pilot had reported moderate turbulence and manageable light, clear ice to the Miami Air Route Traffic Control Center. The flight had originated in Austin, Texas, and was bound for North Eleuthera Airport in the Bahamas aboard the $2 million private jet.
Terminal Plunge Recorded on Tape
Conditions deteriorated rapidly. The pilot issued an urgent mayday call, reporting a descent rate of 10,000 feet per minute and an overspeed condition. “We are in an overspeed condition, descending 20,000 feet per minute,” the pilot shouted before warning that the aircraft was going to crash.
As the Miami center controller urged the crew to keep talking, the crew member replied that they were descending at 22,000 feet and banking at a 60-degree angle before uttering their final words.

Wreckage Creates Wide Crater in Greenacres
Shocking videos recorded the jet nosediving into the ground, sparking a massive fireball that left a wide crater. The aircraft clipped a tree and brought down power lines in an impact locals described as sounding like a missile, according to Aviation 24/7. The wreckage came to rest in Greenacres, a community of modular and mobile homes situated just outside Palm Springs.
Proximity to Palm Beach and Investigation Status
The crash site sits approximately nine miles from President Trump’s Mar-a-Lago resort in Palm Beach County, and four miles south of an airport in West Palm Beach where Trump departed more than an hour before the disaster, CNN reported.
The Learjet 60 was registered to a private business, LR60271 LLC, based in Wilmington, Delaware. Authorities said there are “multiple fatalities” and have not yet confirmed how many people, including those on the ground, were killed or injured.
