Behavioral Health Associate Jobs Open at NeuroPsychiatric Hospitals

Job seekers have a new hiring avenue as NeuroPsychiatric Hospitals expands its recruitment efforts for its North Valley Behavioral Hospital location in Huber Heights, OH. The healthcare provider is actively hiring for both day and night shifts to support its specialized care model for patients experiencing acute psychiatric distress and complex medical needs.

NeuroPsychiatric Hospitals operates facilities across Indiana, Michigan, Texas, Ohio, and Arizona, focusing on an interdisciplinary, multi-specialty approach to patient care. The North Valley Behavioral Hospital facility brings together physicians, nurses, and behavioral associates to manage patients with severe psychiatric conditions requiring targeted interventions and continuous monitoring.

Daily Responsibilities and Shift Duties for Behavioral Associates

The behavioral associate role at the Huber Heights facility involves direct patient care, safety interventions, and close collaboration with the nursing staff. Employees in this position are tasked with identifying high-risk patients, utilizing crisis intervention practices, and implementing safety plan intervention techniques to maintain a secure clinical environment.

Staff members conduct environmental and patient safety rounds and execute higher levels of observation during medical or psychiatric emergencies. Additional daily duties include reporting observations and patient interactions to assigned nursing staff, understanding patient triggers through trauma-informed care frameworks, and participating in shift hand-off meetings, unit rounds, and community meetings.

Behavioral associates also assist nurses by performing selected functional tasks, providing direct physical care, and executing one-to-one observation for specific patients. Responsibilities extend to monitoring vital signs, including blood pressure, temperature, pulse, and respiration rates according to hospital policy, as well as helping patients with activities of daily living.

Qualifications and Compensation Packages Offered by NeuroPsychiatric Hospitals

Applicants for the behavioral associate position are required to hold a High School Diploma or GED. The organization prefers candidates who possess an Associate’s degree or some college coursework in psychology, social work, or related social services fields. Prior experience in a behavioral health setting is preferred, with at least two years of experience in a direct care role strongly recommended by the employer.

The compensation and benefits package includes competitive pay rates alongside medical, dental, and vision insurance options. Eligible employees can participate in a 401(k) plan featuring up to a 4% company match. Additional employee benefits comprise an Employee Assistance Program, generous paid time off, special tuition offers through Capella University, and employee discounts via LifeMart.
