The Structural Frame Rises at RT600 in Berkeley Heights
Construction has officially topped out on RT600, an eight-story residential building located at 350 Connell Drive within The Park in Berkeley Heights, New Jersey. Designed by Minno & Wasko Architects and Planners and developed by The Connell Company, the newly framed structure will yield 149 rental units featuring a mix of studio, one-, and two-bedroom layouts.
The building’s amenities will include an outdoor pool and lounge deck, an entertainment lounge, a game room, coworking space, and a fitness center. Although the exact height and floor area figures have not yet been publicly disclosed, the project reached its latest construction milestone during a topping-out ceremony hosted by The Connell Company on October 28 to celebrate the completion of the structural frame.
SOCO Construction is managing the construction work on RT600 and the north side of District Drive. GS Ferguson is serving as the owner’s representative for the broader redevelopment project.
From Corporate Park to Destination Neighborhood
RT600 represents the second of two residential towers rising at The Park under the Round Table Residences brand. It follows RT500, an 11-story, 179-unit structure that has already opened for occupancy over the summer. The sprawling 185-acre campus, historically known as Connell Corporate Park, is undergoing a $500 million redevelopment to transform a traditional office complex into a destination neighborhood.
Once fully realized, the campus will feature 1.5 million square feet of flexible work offices, a 176-room Embassy Suites hotel, and a 112,000-square-foot Life Time fitness facility. Dining and retail spaces are also taking shape along District Drive, where approximately 160,000 square feet of concepts are beginning to open their doors.
“The topping out of RT600 marks an exciting milestone in the continued evolution of The Park and our vision to create a vibrant, connected community where people can live, work and connect,” said Shane Connell, executive vice president of The Connell Company.
Upcoming Openings and the Road to Fall 2027
As the residential footprint expands, the surrounding commercial and social spaces continue to populate the property’s main street. Current additions include Boschetto, Emberside Brewery, Rosa Azul, BASH’s MODO Hi-Fi Listening Bar, Four Spoons Ice Cream Company, Doner Shack, Cafe Exchange, Dogtopia, and Prime IV Hydration & Wellness.
Cafe Exchange—a 6,000-square-foot cafe connected directly to the lobby of RT500—is scheduled to hold its grand opening celebration on November 15. Following the structural topping out on October 28, construction crews will spend the coming months completing the interior and exterior finishes for RT600, with an anticipated building opening slated for fall 2027.
