Salkilld successfully escaped the leg-lock threat, after which Gamrot stood and circled away. As Salkilld applied pressure, Gamrot landed a right hand, but Salkilld answered by securing a takedown with two minutes remaining in the opening frame. Salkilld quickly took Gamrot’s back, and despite Gamrot’s efforts to shake him off, applied a rear-naked choke that forced Gamrot to tap out.
Following the victory, Salkilld called for a step up in competition, stating I think I deserve someone who’s in the top five or close to it
