The 11th edition of the Carthage Musical Days (JMC) concluded in Tunis on October 10, 2026, after a week of performances featuring over 220 musicians.

Winning Groups Receive Regional Tunisian Artistic Tours

The three winning groups, Midnight Pin, Gultrah, and Altf4, were chosen to participate in this inaugural tour project, receiving a moral prize consisting of artistic tours in a number of Tunisian regions.

According to festival data, the event hosted participants from more than 20 countries, featuring 26 selected shows and nine concerts.

Jadal and the Resurgence of Arabic Rock

The return of the Jordanian rock band Jadal was a focal point of the festival. Their performances on October 7, 2026, were characterized by high audience engagement, with fans singing along to lyrics and dancing throughout the sets. Led by artist Halim Yousfi, the group captured the audience’s attention with a full artistic project reflecting on themes of isolation, resilience, and individuality in a fast-paced world.

  • Lapas: Led by Nadjem Bezzoul, the group performed a free and multi-faceted musical experience mixing Algerian Chaabi roots with flamenco, rumba, and African rhythms, exploring topics of identity, love, estrangement, and freedom.

The closing night was marked by a performance from Syrian artist Faia Younan, who opened her set with the song Fi Al-Tariq Ilayk and expressed her appreciation for the Tunisian audience alongside Minister of Cultural Affairs Amina Srarfi and various diplomatic mission heads.

Carthage Musical Days Connects International and Local Professionals

Beyond the public performances, the 11th edition of Carthage Musical Days emphasized professional development within the music industry. The festival hosted 23 international professionals and 80 Tunisian industry representatives.
