The Tampa Bay Buccaneers are hosting the Atlanta Falcons for a 1:00 p.m. contest at Raymond James Stadium in Week 8, presenting an afternoon of football paired with wide-ranging community initiatives.

Buccaneers Combat Youth Sports Attrition Among Girls

Presented by Mosaic, Sunday’s matchup doubles as the organization’s annual She Is Football game. The team-wide initiative focuses on developing female leaders by tackling a well-documented attrition rate among young athletes. While 94% of women in executive positions played youth sports, girls drop out of sports at twice the rate of boys. The Buccaneers aim to reverse that trend through dedicated programming.

That mission comes to life across Sunday’s schedule. Girls attending who participate in youth sports are encouraged to wear their team uniforms for an in-stadium recognition. A special scholarship recognition will honor flag football athletes, and women leaders and athletes will feature prominently in game-day ceremonies.

Pranysqa Mishra will perform the national anthem before kickoff, followed by a flyover featuring three MV-22B Ospreys. Additional in-game elements will highlight women leaders and athletes, including the Power Design Hero of the Game, the Jabil Salute to Service honoree, and the Publix Pigskin Payout competition.

Halftime Showcasing Collegiate Flag Football

The halftime show shifts the spotlight to the collegiate game. Four women’s collegiate flag football programs will square off in an on-field skills competition.

Warner University, Florida Gateway College, the University of Florida, and the University of Central Florida will send athletes to compete in a series of fundamental football drills. The showcase includes a quarterback long toss, a running back challenge, a wide receiver gauntlet, and a 40-yard dash.

Combating Food Insecurity in the Region

Beyond the stadium lights, the franchise and Mosaic are continuing their joint Tackling Hunger Fueled by The Mosaic Company initiative. The partnership aims to address regional food insecurity by donating one meal to Feeding Tampa Bay for every fan expected in attendance.

The calculation places the total donation at 131,684 meals, with 65,842 contributed by each partner. Since launching in 2021, the collaboration has helped Feeding Tampa Bay establish and operate four school food pantries in underserved areas.

Those operable locations—spanning Robinson Elementary/Turkey Creek Middle Schools, Lamb Elementary School, Broward Elementary School, and Pinecrest Elementary School—have aided more than 5,500 families while providing access to nearly 800,000 meals.

Stadium Vendors Launch Specialty Tamale and Merchandise Collection

Concession stands will introduce the latest installment of the Tampa Bay Chef Series, presented by Corona. A unique chicken tamale wrapped and steamed in a corn husk, featuring a corn-based dough stuffed with shredded chicken and salsa verde, has been prepared by Chef Jessica Cordova of Taco Riendo. Fans can purchase this food selection on the Club Level in Sections 210 and 237, as well as on the main concourse in Section 108.

Fans looking to support the initiative off the field can purchase merchandise from the new She Is Football collection by The Wild Collective. Support for the Tampa Bay Buccaneers Foundation is provided by a share of the proceeds from the collection sold at the Team Store, which aids in creating leadership opportunities and programs focused on keeping girls active in sports.
