The Jacksonville Jaguars are set to make a bold visual statement this Sunday, debuting Nike’s “Rivalries” uniforms in their matchup against the Indianapolis Colts. The design, which features the franchise’s first teal helmets and a nod to Jacksonville’s identity through the “904” area code and “Duuuval” slogan, marks a significant evolution in the team’s branding.
The Uniforms: A Celebration of Local Identity
The “Bold City” uniforms feature elements reflecting Jacksonville’s identity, including the “Bold City” phrase, “904” area code, and neighborhood names. The teal helmets, a first for the Jaguars, are paired with a metallic gold facemask and the team’s logo on the sides. The front bumper bears the “904” area code, while the back reads “Duuuval,” a rallying cry for fans. The alabaster jerseys feature a cursive “Jaguars” wordmark and a custom drop-shadow number font, with sublimated spots that hide the names of local neighborhoods. Inside the collar, “Bold City” is etched, while the outside reads “Since ’95,” commemorating the franchise’s founding year.

The black pants continue the theme with throwback-inspired teal and gold stripes, blending retro aesthetics with modern design. The “Rivalries” uniforms stand apart for their layered storytelling, embedding Jacksonville’s neighborhoods into the very fabric of the kit.
A Program Expanding Across the League
The “Rivalries” initiative debuted last season with the AFC East and NFC West. This season, it has expanded to the AFC South and NFC North, with the AFC West and NFC East set to join in 2027, while the AFC North and NFC South will follow in 2028. The Jaguars’ rollout aligns with this phased approach. The Colts and Green Bay Packers are the only teams (among this year’s additions) to wear their “Rivalries” uniforms this season, with the Detroit Lions set to follow on Sunday.

Despite the program’s growth, some teams remain on the sidelines. The Tennessee Titans, Houston Texans, Minnesota Vikings, and Chicago Bears have yet to unveil their designs, with matchups scheduled for late November and December.
