The Timeline of Violence Across State Lines
The federal case lays out retaliatory moves involving members of the Pagan’s Motorcycle Club that stretched from Topeka into Blue Springs during September 2022. On September 3, 2022, Fisher and fellow members of the Pagan’s Motorcycle Club traveled to Topeka to execute a planned retaliation attack against a rival motorcycle club. Spotting a rival member in a hotel parking lot, the group readied an assault before ultimately turning back toward Kansas City.
Two weeks later, the plot escalated into extreme roadside violence. On September 17, 2022, Smith and other members of the club hunted down a rival member, chased his vehicle, and forced him off the road in Blue Springs. Federal officials stated that the victim was shot seven times during the ambush. The wounds spanned multiple areas of his body, including the knee, thigh, forearm, biceps, buttocks, and the back of his leg.
