Springfield Dominates White House 42-8 to Seal Regular Season
Springfield secured a commanding 42-8 road victory over Region 6-4A rival White House on Oct. 30, 2026, according to mainstreetmediatn.com. With the win, the Yellow Jackets wrapped up their regular-season campaign and earned the right to host a Class 4A playoff opener next week.
The tone was set early when White House running back Antonio Hambrick pushed the ball 28 yards across five carries on the opening drive, only for a fumble to halt the momentum and hand possession over to Springfield. Capitalizing immediately, Kason Woodson connected with Jermaine Cobbins for a 37-yard touchdown.
Springfield Builds Lead Through Explosive Passing Plays
Springfield’s offense clicked through multiple targets as Preston Ramsey tossed a short pass to Amiron Leavell, turning it into a 66-yard dash to the end zone. Woodson soon found Bryce Baldwin open for a 10-yard strike to extend the lead.
“That was not even the play he called down there in the end zone. When he gets his number called, that’s just Woodson being who he is and Bryce being who he is,” Springfield head coach Dustin Wilson told mainstreetmediatn.com. “I mean you got Cobbins, (Jamarion) Gardner, Leavell, and (Claude) Chambers so he knows who he can get it to, but Bryce is valuable on the offensive whether he’s got his hands down or he has to split out in that flex position.”

Before the first half expired, Leavell struck again with a 44-yard punt return that found paydirt with just 13 seconds remaining on the clock. “Amiron does well in open space so you got to get him the ball, and that’s a big part of the offense when you got a returner like that,” Wilson said.
Playoff Outlook
White House managed to break through in the fourth quarter when Lucas Rucker broke loose for a 52-yard run to the goal line, followed by a successful 2-point conversion rush from Hambrick.

“We just had too many mental errors early that cost us,” White House coach Atlee Pond told mainstreetmediatn.com. “We were able to run the football, which is good. Biggest thing we’re going to preach to our guys is we’re going into the playoffs. Everybody’s 0-0 and it’s a whole new season.”
Springfield moves on to host Creek Wood, while White House hits the road to face Marshall County in the opening round of the Class 4A playoffs.
