Four combat sports have officially been integrated into the upcoming «UAE Summer» festival at Zayed Sports Complex in Fujairah. Running from August 3 to 20, the event is organized by the Ministry of Sports and the UAE Sports for All Federation under the slogan «Our Summer is a Nation’s Energy».
Fujairah Martial Arts Club Takes Technical Charge
The Fujairah Martial Arts Club has announced the official adoption of technical and organizational procedures to oversee four specific disciplines during the festival. The sports included in this lineup are taekwondo, judo, jiu-jitsu, and wrestling.
Nader Aboul Shawish, director of the Fujairah Martial Arts Club, explained that the club bears the responsibility of managing the technical oversight and delivering training programs for these four combat sports. The festival is designed as an all-encompassing summer platform aimed at developing student and youth skills, reinforcing national identity and culture, and raising awareness about the importance of engaging in various athletic activities.
Professional Training and High Participation Expectations
Organizers expect strong turnout when the festival kicks off at Zayed Sports Complex in the Emirate of Fujairah. Participation is projected to exceed 500 male and female athletes spanning different age groups.
Participants will take part in structured training sessions designed to introduce them to the fundamentals of taekwondo, judo, jiu-jitsu, and wrestling. Professional coaches will oversee these sessions as part of the club’s broader commitment to fulfilling its social responsibility mandate.
Strategic Community Impact and Talent Discovery
Beyond immediate athletic instruction, club leadership views the event as a vital incubator for raw athletic talent. Aboul Shawish noted that the club is dedicating its efforts to ensure the success of the festival, highlighting its effectiveness in discovering and attracting promising talents while fostering sports awareness across the emirate.
The initiative also aims to cultivate generations equipped with good health, physical fitness, and the fundamentals of athletic excellence. In his statement, Aboul Shawish expressed appreciation for the Ministry of Sports and the UAE Sports for All Federation for launching strategic programs dedicated to serving the community.
