Alix Earle to Address Alex Cooper Fallout in Upcoming Netflix Series
Alix Earle has confirmed that her highly publicized feud with podcast host Alex Cooper will be a focal point of her forthcoming Netflix reality series, Earle Meets World. While the influencer previously avoided discussing the breakdown of their professional relationship in public appearances, she revealed that the unfolding drama was captured during filming.
The Evolution of a Public Feud
The professional relationship between the two creators began in August 2023, when Earle joined Cooper’s Unwell Network to launch her podcast, Hot Mess. However, by February 2025, reports emerged that the Unwell Network had dropped the podcast. Following the split, sources cited by Us Weekly indicated that the pair had clashed over business matters, leading to an end to their friendship. The tension remained largely behind the scenes until April 2026, when Earle reposted a video critical of the Call Her Daddy host. Cooper responded in a since-deleted TikTok, challenging Earle to address their issues directly rather than “hiding behind other people.” While Earle initially replied to the video with the comment, “Okay on it!,” she did not provide further public clarification at that time.
Behind the Scenes of “Earle Meets World”
In a profile for the 2026 TIME100 Creators list, Earle explained that she was initially hesitant to discuss the fallout on camera. “That was one of the things in the beginning they wanted me to talk about, and I really wasn’t comfortable sharing,” Earle stated. She noted that as filming progressed, the situation became unavoidable, describing a “serious struggle behind the scenes of emotions.” Earle expressed that she is ultimately glad the series captured the reality of the situation, noting that while online moments may appear fun, the reality behind the scenes can be difficult. She credited her family for providing support during the period of conflict.

Previous Attempts to Avoid the Spotlight
Before confirming the topic would be covered on Netflix, Earle frequently sidestepped questions regarding the rift. During a May 12, 2026, appearance on the Today show, host Craig Melvin pressed Earle on the “online beef.” Earle attempted to deflect the questions, stating, “I’m trying to keep things pretty positive today. We don’t have that much time here, honestly. Also, why ruin such a good day with something not so great?” When asked if the drama was exaggerated, Earle replied, “No, it’s exaggerated. I love everyone.”
Context and Industry Stakes
The fallout occurs against a backdrop of broader turbulence for the Unwell Network. A report published by Bloomberg last month alleged significant staff turnover at the network over the past two years, with claims that Cooper’s husband, Matt Kaplan, who manages day-to-day operations, had created a difficult work environment. Neither Cooper nor Kaplan has addressed those specific claims. For Earle, the Netflix series represents a strategic move toward long-term career sustainability in the creative economy. According to Brandon Riegg, Netflix’s VP of Nonfiction Series & Sports, the show aims to capture Earle’s navigation of business, family, and personal growth. Earle herself emphasized that her current professional decisions are focused on building a sustainable career, noting, “Every decision I make is about longevity.”
What Fans Won’t See
Despite months of speculation regarding a potential relationship between Earle and NFL legend Tom Brady, TMZ has reported that Brady does not appear in the series. Additionally, Earle used her TIME profile to clarify her political stance, stating that she is not a supporter of Donald Trump, a rumor she says she previously avoided addressing to prevent creating a “massive storm.”
