The choice of the Igreja Nossa Senhora do Carmo da Antiga Sé for the religious ceremony added a significant historical layer to the event. The temple, once known as the Capela Imperial, previously hosted the 1864 wedding of Princess Isabel and the Count d’Eu, as well as the coronations of Brazilian emperors Dom Pedro I and Dom Pedro II.
The wedding ceremony, which began at 12:30 p.m. on Saturday, brought together family members and friends, including representatives of the Kennedy political family.

Giulia Be curated her wedding wardrobe across international fashion hubs, documenting the process with exclusive access provided to Vogue. The singer noted the significance of the atelier, as it was the place where Carolyn Bessette Kennedy once worked. Following the Friday blessing at the Cristo Redentor, the couple scheduled a reception at the Instituto Brando Barbosa in the Jardim Botânico.
