Repertoire and Ticket Details for the Zamalek Performance

Audiences attending the mid-October showcase can expect a curated setlist drawn from the catalogs of both legendary artists. The production features a varied selection of Abdel Halim Hafez classics, including “Kunt Fein,” Tell him the truth, “Ya Sidi Amrak,” and “Kifaya Nourak.”

Tickets for the evening are priced at 120 Egyptian pounds. The venue is scheduled to welcome the public at 8:00 PM at the Wisdom Hall in Zamalek, offering a specialized theatrical and musical experience that celebrates two of the most prominent symbols of Arab singing.

The Origins and Continuing Legacy of El Sawy Puppet Theater

The venue’s puppet theater has long specialized in reviving historical concerts through mechanical performance. Engineer Mohamed El Sawy leads the team and handles the manipulation of the puppets.

This production joins an ongoing schedule of tribute events at the cultural center. The theater previously presented two musical concerts dedicated to the star of Eastern song, Umm Kulthum, at 6:30 PM and 8:30 PM on the past Thursday at the Wisdom Hall in El Sawy Culturewheel. Those performances featured two songs, “Dart El Ayam” and Tomorrow I Meet You, forming part of the Umm Kulthum Returns Again project presented by the puppet theater. The venue displays the concert of Umm Kulthum with her full orchestra through the puppet theater, presenting a monthly show on the first Thursday of every month, just as the star used to present during her lifetime.
