Costumed revelers lined the streets of downtown Baton Rouge Friday evening as the 16th annual Fifolet Halloween Parade rolled through the capital city on October 30, 2026, marking a milestone with its first-ever nighttime procession along North Boulevard.
The ‘Unsweet 16’ Route
Organized by the local nonprofit 10/31 Consortium, the parade brought festive floats, spooky performances, and plenty of candy to the crowd under this year’s “Unsweet 16” theme.
Festival King Dean Andrus encouraged the community to come out and enjoy the full slate of weekend activities.
Thursday Night Pub Crawl Timeline
The celebrations actually kicked off Thursday night with a pub crawl at bars under the Mississippi River Bridge. Tickets sold online for $45 and included drink specials, complimentary makeup, and entertainment across four distinct stops.
The schedule ran from the Pastime Lounge from 6 to 7:45 p.m., moved to Bally’s Casino from 8 to 9:15 p.m., continued at Brickyard South from 9:15 to 10:30 p.m., and concluded at George’s Place from 10:30 p.m. to midnight.
Saturday Costume Ball at LSU
The weekend schedule continues Saturday night with the nonprofit’s Fifolet Costume Ball, scheduled for 8:00 p.m. at the Lod Cook LSU Alumni Center.

The celebration fundraiser features live music from Petty Betty, a costume contest, and a table decorating contest.
Additional Capital Area Events
Beyond the core events hosted by the 10/31 Consortium, the Downtown Development District highlights several other Halloween weekend happenings across the capital area.
Those include Geaux Ride Halloween Rides, a House of Halloween bar crawl, a Manship Theatre screening of the 1975 film The Rocky Horror Picture Show, and a River Terrace Rooftop Halloween Party.
Trunk-Or-Treat Events Offer Daytime Alternatives for Families
For families looking for daytime alternatives, various trunk-or-treat events are scheduled across the Baton Rouge area. Meanwhile, thrill-seekers looking toward local attractions note that Baton Rouge’s 13th Gate is ranked No. 3 among the nation’s scariest haunted attractions.
Weather remains a factor for the remainder of the weekend. Rain is likely on Halloween this weekend, potentially impacting outdoor activities as the final stretch of celebrations unfolds.
