The Iowa Wild recalled defenseman Reilly Webb from the ECHL’s Jacksonville Icemen, as iowawild.com reported on October 30, 2026. The move brings the 27-year-old blueliner back up to the American Hockey League after he skated in four games for Jacksonville to start the season.
General Manager and Alternate Governor Matt Hendricks announced the roster transaction on Wednesday, altering the defensive depth chart for the Des Moines-based club. Webb’s path to this recall has wound through multiple leagues and organizations over the past several seasons.
Brings Minor-League Experience to the Wild
Born in Stoney Creek, Ontario, the 6-foot-4, 201-pound defenseman brings substantial minor-league experience to the Wild. During the 2025-26 season, Webb appeared in 16 games with the Hershey Bears, recording three assists, six penalty minutes, and a plus-5 rating. Across two seasons in the ECHL with the South Carolina Stingrays from 2024 to 2026, he posted 16 points, 70 PIM, and a plus-29 rating across 105 games.

Played Junior Hockey Before Turning Professional
Long before turning professional, Webb was selected in the sixth round, 164th overall, by the Detroit Red Wings in the 2017 NHL Draft. His junior career included 198 Ontario Hockey League games split between the Hamilton Bulldogs and the Saginaw Spirit, where he recorded 41 points and 162 PIM. He later played 74 USports games at Acadia University, where he recorded 16 points and 107 PIM, before breaking into the professional ranks.
Impact on the Jacksonville Roster
The transaction also impacts the Jacksonville Icemen roster puzzle in the ECHL. Earlier in the week, it was reported that Webb had returned to Jacksonville following an assignment by the Iowa Wild, prior to this latest AHL recall.
