Teal Time Watch Party and Playoff Campaign Launch Set as Kansas City Current Secures Third Consecutive Postseason Appearance
Kansas City Current fans are gathering this weekend to celebrate the club’s third consecutive postseason appearance, featuring a themed watch party at Current Landing and civic displays across the city. The team officially clinched its playoff spot on Oct. 23, setting the stage for a busy stretch of events leading into NWSL Decision Day.
Sunday’s events center around a road match against Racing Louisville FC at 4 p.m. CT on Nov. 1. The club is hosting a “Teal Time” watch party at Current Landing, offering free tickets that fans can reserve, with entry opening at 3 p.m. CT.
Matchday Activations and Community Displays
The first 200 attendees at the Sunday watch party will receive a complimentary Teal Time themed popcorn box. The venue will also feature larger-than-life Teal Time Clapper Boards, food trucks, face painting, and yard games, while the match is broadcast on a big screen.
Beyond Current Landing, the postseason atmosphere is visible across Kansas City. Themed billboards and larger-than-life Teal Time Clapper Boards are set up in City Market to display game details, and Union Station is displaying exterior teal banners in support of the club’s playoff run.

Ticket sales for a potential home quarterfinal match at CPKC Stadium opened to the general public on Thursday, Oct. 29 at 10 a.m. CT. Whether the club hosts that match depends on securing a top four spot on the final NWSL table.
Union Station Hosts Red-Carpet Premiere for Media
Union Station will host a red-carpet premiere for media and select guests on Monday, Nov. 2 at 2 p.m. CT inside the Extreme Screen Theatre. The event will preview the club’s playoff campaign hype video ahead of the formal public rollout of the 2026 Teal Time postseason campaign on the same day.
The Current’s first-round playoff opponent will be determined following the conclusion of the NWSL regular season on Nov. 1. Further details regarding the 2026 NWSL Playoffs, presented by Google Pixel, can be found online.
