Bring Valid Identification to Register on Voting Day
Nevada has permitted same-day voter registration since 2019, allowing eligible residents to register for the first time or update an existing registration on the exact day they vote. However, this process requires voting in person at a polling location and presenting a valid Nevada driver’s license or Nevada ID card. Other identification forms, including passports or military IDs, cannot be accepted for same-day registration.
Residents whose Nevada driver’s license or ID card displays an outdated residential address must provide supplemental proof of residence. Individuals who recently moved to Nevada and lack a state-issued driver’s license or ID cannot utilize same-day registration.
Voters who registered online 14 days prior to Election Day must vote in person and present a valid Nevada driver’s license, Nevada ID card, or tribal ID.
Handling Mail-In Ballots and Deadlines
Alternatively, voters can drop off completed ballots at any official county dropbox until the polls close at 7 p.m. on November 3.
Voters seeking multilingual resources can access guides provided by the state across multiple languages, including Spanish, Chinese, Tagalog, Korean, Thai, and Vietnamese.
