Crave Kitchen Plans Move to Meridian

Crave Kitchen & Bar, an Eagle hot spot that opened in 2020, is planning a major move. More than 100 new jobs are anticipated as the independent restaurant relocates to Meridian’s Ten Mile Crossing development, occupying an approximately 8,000-square-foot location near Scheels with a goal of opening in fall 2027.

At the same time, regional options are scaling up. Korean bakery café chain Paris Baguette made its Idaho debut Friday, Oct. 30, at The Village at Meridian. Located at 3395 E. Longwing Lane, the new storefront brings fresh breads, pastries, cakes, sandwiches, and coffee to shoppers daily from 6 a.m. to 9 p.m.

Several Local Eateries Close Doors

While the suburbs expand, urban and long-standing spots are disappearing. Operating for slightly longer than a year, the Ohio-based tenders-and-sandwiches brand Just Chicken has closed its doors at The Warehouse Food Hall within downtown Boise’s BoDo district.

Late-night fast-food options on Boise’s west side also shrank when the Jack in the Box at 7040 W. State St. served its final customers. Utah-based restaurant chain Mo’ Bettahs will next renovate and assume control of the 2,875-square-foot structure following this shutdown.

Meanwhile, neighborhood mainstays are winding down. Granny C’s Bakery, open since 2019, closed Oct. 24 at 5120 W. Overland Road in Boise. In Garden City, Western Collective—the brewery that opened in 2018 at 111 W. 33rd St.—closed its taproom on Halloween night. The business plans to move production of its brands to another local brewery in the coming weeks.
