Eight months pregnant, Angelina Stone was killed alongside her five-year-old boy and one-year-old girl in an Erie, Pennsylvania, murder-suicide rampage on Friday evening that left nine people dead. The victims inside a Perry Street home included a heavily pregnant mother and her two children, while the 45-year-old shooter died from a self-inflicted gunshot wound, according to police and family statements.

Roughly 120 miles north of Pittsburgh, a mass shooting left nine people dead on Friday evening at a home located on the 700 block of Perry Street. Erie Police Chief Rick Lorah confirmed during a Saturday press conference that eight of the nine dead were related to the shooter.

Authorities identified the shooter as a 45-year-old male who died from a self-inflicted gunshot wound after carrying out the attack. Investigators recovered a 40-caliber registered handgun on him.

Family Identifies Angelina Stone and Her Children Among the Victims

Family members identified one of the deceased as 24-year-old Angelina Stone through social media posts. Chief Lorah confirmed that a mother who was eight months pregnant was killed in the massacre, alongside her five-year-old boy and one-year-old girl. Stone noted on her Instagram profile that Isaiah had been born on July 15, 2021, and Amari’anna had been born on November 21, 2024.

Stone had frequently documented her family life and pregnancies online, sharing ultrasound images and baby bump photographs. On September 25, she posted an ultrasound showing she was 36 weeks pregnant, writing Momma cant wait to hold you and indicating that her third child, Kyrie, was set to be born on October 14.

Aaliyah Williams, who identified herself as the sister of Amari’anna’s father, organized an online fundraiser to help cover funeral expenses. Now our family is facing the painful task of laying them to rest, Williams wrote, noting that the family had only two weeks to finalize arrangements. As of Saturday afternoon, the fundraiser had brought in approximately $11,000 toward its $13,000 goal.

Doorbell Camera Footage Captures Women Fleeing Residence

Police stated that all of the victims inside the residence lived there, including a 37-year-old female, a 41-year-old female, a 44-year-old female, a 19-year-old male and a 21-year-old male. None of the adult victims were publicly named by authorities.

Ring doorbell video footage captured two women arriving at the Perry Street residence looking distressed and seeking assistance from neighbors while pounding on their doors. Chief Lorah stated that muffled gunfire could be heard from inside the home before the suspect emerged and shot the two women outside. One of the women outside was a family friend, while the other was a sister-in-law to one of the victims. Neither of the women outside lived at the house.

Police Deploy Drones and Robots to Search Home

Erie authorities reported that all of the deaths occurred before police officers arrived at the scene. When law enforcement entered, they were met with silence and no cries for help from inside. Officers deployed drones and a robot to locate victims inside the home while evaluating whether hostages or children remained at risk.

Loud sounds reported after the initial response were clarified by Erie authorities as flash bangs deployed by law enforcement. Chief Lorah stated that it was too early to determine a motive, though mental health may have played a factor, and investigators planned to review cellphones and interview witnesses and family members.
