Apple rolled out iOS 27.2 on October 26, 2026, bringing Siri AI language expansion for French, Japanese, Korean, Portuguese, and Spanish alongside systemwide app actions. Rumors point to an early November debut for iOS 27.3 beta testing.
Apple Expands Siri AI Languages in iOS 27.2
The 27.2 software update released today brings new assistant capabilities. According to Apple, Siri AI is an entirely new version of Siri that is profoundly more capable, conversational, and personal, bringing language availability now in the French, Japanese, Korean, Portuguese, and Spanish languages. Users in eligible regions can tap into a conversational interface that draws from personal context across messages, emails, and photos without compromising security, or as Apple puts it, without compromising users’ privacy.

Not all regions share in the rollout. The company explicitly notes that Siri AI is not available in the EU or mainland China. For users who do have access, the assistant utilizes onscreen awareness to answer questions and execute tasks, such as drafting emails from scratch or editing photo libraries, which Apple details as helping users with tasks such as drafting an email from scratch or editing and sharing a set of photos.

Developers Prepare iOS 27.3 Beta Testing
Digit.in notes that the Cupertino-based tech giant has also shipped the new Apple Music app icon and other design changes with the update, while the first iOS 27.3 beta could drop as early as November 2. While Apple states that language support for Siri AI will continue to expand with availability in Chinese (Traditional), Norwegian, Turkish, and Vietnamese coming by the end of the year, digit.in reports that Apple may include support for additional languages in Siri AI with the upcoming iOS 27.3 update.
Beyond voice assistant expansion, reports indicate that the upcoming software package includes a redesigned health app. Digit.in reports that the updated app is expected to make it easier for users to access and manage their health information, and adds that Apple could also introduce security updates and bug fixes. Stable versions of the update will arrive by mid-December across a wide hardware roster stretching from the iPhone 11 series up to the latest iPhone 18 Pro models.
