The Mountain East Conference has finalized the seeds and matchups for the 2026 Men’s Soccer Championship following the conclusion of the regular season, My Buckhannon reported. The six-team postseason tournament is set to begin on Sunday, November 1, with campus-site quarterfinal matches hosted by the higher seeds.
Davis and Elkins Secure Top Seeds with Division Titles
Davis & Elkins earned the MEC North Division championship, while Charleston secured the title for the MEC South Division. As top overall seeds in their respective divisions, both programs earned opening-round byes through the quarterfinals.
The remaining four playoff contenders will battle on November 1 to advance to the next round. Frostburg State enters the tournament as the No. 2 seed in the North Division and will host Salem at 5:00 p.m. ET. During the regular season, Frostburg State defeated Salem 4-2. In the South Division, No. 2 seed Concord takes on Point Park at 6:00 p.m. ET. Concord previously topped Point Park 2-0 during conference play.
Road to the Championship Final
Winners of the quarterfinal fixtures will advance to the semifinals scheduled for Wednesday, November 4. The victor between Salem and Frostburg State will travel to face top-seeded Charleston, while the winner of the Point Park and Concord match will square off against Davis & Elkins.

Charleston enters this year’s postseason seeking to defend its crown. Last season, Charleston captured the MEC Men’s Soccer Championship by defeating Concord 2-1. The Golden Eagles made their sixth straight trip to the NCAA Sweet Sixteen and finished the year with a 17-1-4 record.
The 2026 championship final will take place on Sunday, November 8, at 3:30 p.m. ET, hosted at the campus site of the highest surviving seed. Organizers noted that the game time will shift to 4:00 p.m. if it shares a site with the women’s championship.
