All-American running back Ahmad Hardy has returned to practice with No. 23 Missouri, marking a significant milestone just months after a shooting in Mississippi left him wounded, the Altoona Mirror reported.
Missouri head coach Eli Drinkwitz stated Tuesday that Hardy was a full participant in practice the previous day. Despite this progress, it remains unclear when Hardy will take the field for the Tigers.
In early May, Hardy was struck in the leg by gunfire while acting as a bystander at a concert. The Tigers have managed his absence largely through the efforts of Jamal Roberts, who currently ranks seventh in the Football Bowl Subdivision with 867 yards rushing. Missouri enters this weekend’s matchup against Arkansas following a bye week.
Roster Shakeups in Indianapolis
Meanwhile, the Indianapolis Colts executed two major trades on Tuesday as their season struggles mounted, dealing away two veteran starters. One week after team co-owner Carlie Irsay-Gordon dismissed general manager Chris Ballard—who originally selected guard Quenton Nelson with the No. 6 overall pick in the 2018 NFL Draft—the team sent Nelson to the Seattle Seahawks in exchange for a 2027 third-round draft pick and a 2028 fifth-round pick.

The defending Super Bowl champion Seahawks acquired Nelson to bolster their struggling ground game. Hours later, the Colts traded Pro Bowl defensive tackle DeForest Buckner to the San Francisco 49ers in exchange for a 2027 fourth-round pick.
The moves arrive as Indianapolis endures a severe downward spiral, having dropped 12 of their last 14 games dating back to last season. The turning point arrived with a home loss in Week 6 to the previously winless Tennessee Titans, prompting the dismissal of Ballard and the interim elevation of assistant general manager Ed Dodds.
