Belhaven Boo Halloween Fair held in Jackson

Creatures of all shapes, sizes, and pop-culture icons put aside their differences to gather under an overcast sky for the Belhaven Boo, Jackson’s neighborhood annual Halloween fair held on Saturday, Oct. 31, 2026, Mississippi Today reported.

Costumed Crowds Gather in Belvoir Place

Dozens of children and community members filled Belvoir Place for the festivities, showcasing an array of creative outfits captured in photographs by Mukta Joshi for Mississippi Today. Among the crowd, Mario stood tall and proud, while an exceptionally fluffy chicken took in the neighborhood sights and sounds. A dedicated NASCAR driver was spotted carb-loading before the big race, and Tinkerbell worked diligently on her bubble-blowing technique—ultimately succeeding after a few early struggles.

Freshly spun cotton candy, straight from the witch’s cauldron, served as one of many sweet treats available at the fair. Meanwhile, Captain America took a well-deserved candy break, proving he could indeed do this all day. The literary classic The Very Hungry Caterpillar found himself thoroughly enamored by the Queen of Hearts, and a brave lion hunted down the day’s treats.

From Pandas to Pooh Bears on the Jackson Streets

A mother panda responsibly carried her cub down the street, while a ladybug stretched one of her six legs in the afternoon air. A remarkably patient hot dog collected pets and cuddles from passers-by.

Younger attendees made their mark as well. Winnie the Pooh, who took his first steps just a few months ago, impressed the surrounding crowd with his newfound speed and agility. Nearby, a tired Zero enjoyed a refreshing slushy while resting on Jack Skellington’s lap, and a family of aerobics instructors worked to get their heart rates up during the Halloween celebrations.
