Gary T. Stitham Remembered as Longtime Andover Resident and Insurance Industry Veteran
Gary T. Stitham, a longtime resident of Andover, Massachusetts, passed away peacefully on October 19, 2026, at the age of 76.
Born in Nashua, New Hampshire, to the late Wallace L. and Beverly M. (Caswell) Stitham, Gary graduated from Milford High School where he competed as a multi-sport athlete. He subsequently attended the University of New Hampshire. During his time at UNH, he met Karen “Kay” MacCormack, initiating a marriage that would span 53 years.
Career and Community Ties in Massachusetts
Professionally, Stitham built a career in the insurance industry, working as a broker for Fortune 1000 companies. Outside of work, he maintained a presence on the golf course as a member of Indian Ridge Country Club. He and Karen traveled across the United States and Europe to play golf with close friends. Away from the links, he spent time reading or preparing signature soups and chowders.
He is survived by his wife Karen; sons Matthew J. Stitham and his husband J. Dominic Campodonico of San Francisco, California; son Timothy M. Stitham, his wife Kaitlin, and their daughters Riley, Mia, and Vivian of North Andover, Massachusetts; sister Terry Snook of Dover, New Hampshire; and brother James Stitham of Keene, New Hampshire.
Family Requests Memorial Donations to Memorial Hall Library
Funeral services will be held privately. The Burke-Magliozzi Funeral Home of Andover has been entrusted with the arrangements.
Family members have requested that, in lieu of flowers, memorial donations be directed to the Memorial Hall Library, located at 2 North Main Street, Andover, MA 01810.
