Jacksonville Jaguars Dominance Signals Potential Super Bowl Run

Nobody is beating teams the way the Jacksonville Jaguars are in 2026, and if the historic trend continues, their season could end at SoFi Stadium in February.

Jacksonville Jaguars Dominance Signals Potential Super Bowl Run

The Jacksonville Jaguars are defeating opponents unlike any other squad in 2026, and if this historical pattern persists, their campaign could conclude at SoFi Stadium come February.

The Jaguars secured a dominant 33-10 victory over the Baltimore Ravens at M&T Bank Stadium on Thursday night, marking the team’s fourth win by 23 or more points this season, ESPN reported. According to ESPN Research, Jacksonville is now just the fifth team since 1999 to rack up four victories by that margin in the first eight games of the season, putting them in elite company where three of the previous four squads ultimately reached the Super Bowl.

Yet inside the locker room, the mood leans far closer to correction than celebration. Despite sitting comfortably at 6-2 through nine weeks, the players know they have plenty of room to grow.

“I think we’re way better than what we’ve put out there,” running back Chris Rodriguez said. “There’s a lot of things we got to clean up, and we get a few days off, and next week, we’ll look at those and keep moving forward. But man, this team is really good.”

The numbers certainly back up that confidence. The Jaguars currently lead the entire NFL in point differential at plus-131, leaving the next-closest team, San Francisco, at plus-58. Jacksonville has cracked the 30-point threshold five times already this season, a franchise first for the opening eight games. Their current three-game streak of scoring at least 30 points matches the second-longest run in franchise history, surpassed by only four consecutive victories in 2017.

What makes this surge remarkable is the attrition the roster has managed to withstand. Weeks 5-8 brought major roster setbacks due to season-long injuries for left tackle Anton Harrison (knee), nose tackle DaVon Hamilton (quad), and safety Eric Murray (elbow).

Not every victory has been a blowout, either. The squad pulled off a narrow 19-17 win against Philadelphia after a frantic 53-yard kickoff return by Ameer Abdullah left just one second on the clock, setting up Cam Little for a game-winning 60-yard field goal. On top of that, they managed to dispatch the Ravens on Thursday despite rushing for a season-low 77 yards. Schedule quirks have added to the degree of difficulty, too, with the team playing just three games in Jacksonville while logging two home games in London and enduring a 34-day stretch between games at EverBank Stadium.

Trevor Lawrence & Foye Oluokun Debrief Jags' Week 9 Win Over Ravens | Jacksonville Jaguars

Linebacker Foye Oluokun understands the danger of letting early success dull the team’s competitive edge.

“Yeah, you win and it feels great,” Oluokun said. “We can’t let wins mask stuff. We’ve always got stuff to improve. I’ve been here a while, went through winning, winning, winning, and one season, we let a lot slide because we were winning. So we got to keep learning in wins and stuff because it’s all about who’s playing the best in December and then we make that run [in] January and February.”

Whether this pace translates into a deep winter run will depend entirely on how quickly they can patch up those lingering flaws over the next two-plus months.
