Joe Brady and the Buffalo Bills Make History Against Baltimore
The Buffalo Bills won yesterday. It was an ugly start, but the scoreboard was exactly what was needed at the end, buffalorumblings.com reported. Along the way, there was plenty to Shout! about, including a series of historic milestones that pushed the team to a 6-1 record.
Joe Brady is making history in Western New York. Brady is the first head coach in Bills history to start his career 6-1. Among all NFL coaches in the Super Bowl era, his opening seven games feature an average of 33.29 points per game that places him second, behind only the mark set by Mike Martz in 2000.
Buffalo Defenders Sack Quarterback Four Times
Everybody wanted a piece of the quarterback on Sunday. Cole Bishop, Landon Jackson, and T.J. Parker each recorded a first-half sack, while Greg Rousseau joined them later to give Buffalo four different players with a sack against Baltimore.
Rookie Davison Igbinosun also made his mark by coming away with the first interception of his NFL career, giving the Bills the ball back deep in Baltimore territory.
James Cook and Josh Allen Extend Rushing Streaks
James Cook kept his momentum rolling by scoring a rushing touchdown, marking his sixth straight game with a score on the ground. His longer career streak remains only the franchise-record eight consecutive games achieved across the 2024 and 2025 seasons, making this run his second-best.

Josh Allen added to his own rushing resume. Through the first seven games of the season, Allen collected his ninth rushing touchdown, matching the 1950 NFL record previously established by Johnny Lujack for quarterbacks. With 88 career rushing touchdowns, Allen also sits 16th on the NFL’s all-time list.
Rounding out the offensive highlights, Moore hauled in a 49-yard reception. It stood as Buffalo’s third-longest play of the season and marked his longest catch since a 56-yarder against Washington in October 2023.
