Hip-hop is packing its bags for the Las Vegas Strip. Veteran rapper LL Cool J has officially announced “Rock the Bells: The Residency,” bringing an immersive, multi-generational music experience to Dolby Live at Park MGM in the spring and summer of 2027.
The high-profile run spans 11 total dates split across two months. The first leg kicks off on May 15, 2027, followed by shows on May 16, 19, 21, and 22. The production then returns for a concluding batch of dates on July 9, 10, 11, 14, 16, and 17. Every performance is scheduled to begin at 8 p.m.
According to release details, the concerts are designed as an all-star live experience merging storytelling, classic catalog hits, and special guest appearances on a single stage. “Hip-Hop started in a few neighborhoods in New York, and now it belongs to the whole world,” LL Cool J said in a statement.
“Along the way it changed rock, R&B, pop, soul, dance music, all of it,” the artist added. “Rock The Bells celebrates everybody who was part of that story. This isn’t me doing a show in Vegas. It’s all of us. Artists from different generations and different genres, sharing one stage, for fans who were there at the beginning and kids hearing it for the first time.”
LL Cool J Debuts New Concept at Park MGM
Chris Baldizan, MGM Resorts’ Executive Vice President of Entertainment, noted the significance of landing the genre-spanning concept.
“LL Cool J is a true Hip-Hop icon and we’re proud to collaborate with him to debut this groundbreaking, new concept at Dolby Live at Park MGM in 2027,” Baldizan said in a statement. “This high-energy production will be an exciting addition to our world-class entertainment lineup.”
Fans looking to secure seats face a tiered ticketing schedule starting in late October. A Citi/AAdvantage presale opens on October 30 at 10 a.m. PT. Additional presale access for MGM Rewards members, Live Nation customers, and Ticketmaster buyers begins on October 31 at 10 a.m. PT. General public ticket sales officially commence on November 2 at 10 a.m. PT.
