Range Rover is expanding its lineup with a new model, the Range Rover GT. Built on the electrified EMA architecture, the four-door grand tourer features an ultraminimalist interior and is expected to debut later this year, marking a departure from the brand’s traditional SUV focus.

The Range Rover GT sits on the company’s EMA platform. This is the company’s third electrifiable platform, alongside the MLA platform used by Range Rovers, and the JEA platform. The JEA framework is currently being developed by Jaguar for the forthcoming Type 01, which is also a four-door grand tourer.
While the GT shares its underlying DNA with these other platforms, its specific application in the GT model highlights a focus on interior space and driver experience. The interior configuration allows for either a two-seat rear setup or a three-seat bench, catering to different passenger needs.
Ultraminimalist Design and Interior Technology
