BETA Technologies Reports Record Revenue and FAA Milestone

South Burlington-based aerospace firm BETA Technologies, Inc. (NYSE: BETA) reported its third-quarter financial results on Tuesday, revealing a significant jump in revenue as the company advances toward commercial certification. The company generated $17.7 million in revenue for the quarter ending September 30, 2026. This figure represents a 98% increase compared to the same period in 2025, when the company recorded $8.9 million. Within the total revenue, product sales accounted for $5.2 million, while service-related activities contributed $12.5 million. The company noted that this record quarterly performance was entirely organic and exceeded its established guidance range.

While the revenue growth marks a milestone for the firm, the company continues to operate at a loss as it invests heavily in research and development. The firm’s quarterly net loss reached ($119.1) million, while Adjusted EBITDA was reported at ($97.4) million. Operating expenses for the three-month period totaled $140.5 million, a figure heavily influenced by $90.5 million in research and development spending. Included within those research and development costs was $5.8 million in non-cash warrant expense tied to a collaborative arrangement with GE Aerospace. These investments are directed toward the company’s ongoing certification programs and the expansion of its enabling technologies.

FAA Grants A250 Certificate for Market Survey Flights

Beyond the financial disclosures, BETA announced a regulatory breakthrough that could reshape its testing capabilities. The company secured a Special Airworthiness Certificate from the Federal Aviation Administration (FAA) for its A250 electric vertical takeoff and landing (VTOL) aircraft. This authorization is specifically for market surveys, allowing BETA to conduct demonstration flights with prospective customers on board before the aircraft receives full type certification. The A250 is the first VTOL aircraft to receive this specific FAA classification.

This development follows a period of rigorous testing for both the A250 and the company’s CX300 aircraft. In a statement, founder and CEO Kyle Clark emphasized the company’s progress, noting that BETA has now surpassed 250,000 nautical miles across its fleet. This milestone was reached ahead of schedule and reflects expanded operations across both conventional and vertical takeoff aircraft, generating performance data to support certification.

“We’ve now flown more than 250,000 nautical miles, advanced commercial operations through our eIPP launches, and secured a historic FAA authorization to fly prospective customers aboard our A250 electric VTOL aircraft,” said Kyle Clark, founder and chief executive officer of BETA. “Each of these milestones builds on years of engineering and real-world operating experience.” Kyle Clark

The company has also been active in the FAA’s eVTOL Integration Pilot Program (eIPP), having launched six of the seven selections.

Charging Network Expands to 168 Sites Across the United States

BETA is building out its physical footprint to support its growing fleet. The company has expanded its charging network to 168 sites across the United States. This infrastructure is designed to be open and interoperable, a move intended to support aircraft operations and provide the infrastructure for broader electric aviation adoption.

Despite these gains, the company maintains a cash and cash equivalents balance of $1,343.1 million. The company has increased its full-year 2026 revenue guidance to a range of $52 million to $57 million. Management indicated that investors should monitor the company’s website for ongoing disclosures, alongside standard SEC filings and public conference calls.
