Georgia Football Releases Updated Availability Report Ahead of Ole Miss Showdown
The Georgia football team faces roster changes as the Southeastern Conference released an updated player availability report on Friday ahead of the game against Ole Miss. DawgNation reported that running back Chauncey Bowens is listed as probable after missing time since the game against Vanderbilt.
Bowens had previously been listed as questionable earlier in the week due to a foot injury. Meanwhile, running back depth has been tested as Bo Walker stepped in during Bowens’ absence, recording 27 yards and a touchdown against Florida. Nate Frazier and Dwight Phillips combined for 134 rushing yards in that same matchup against the Gators, with Frazier notching his first rushing touchdown since the win over Arkansas after missing time earlier in the season with a rib injury.
Injuries Test Depth at Tight End and Defensive Line
The latest SEC report added tight end Elyiss Williams, linebacker AJ Kruah, and defensive end Joseph Jonah-Ajonye to the availability disclosures this week. Kruah and Jonah-Ajonye have been ruled out for Saturday’s contest, while Williams remains questionable with a lower leg issue. Williams has tallied 88 receiving yards and two touchdowns this season. According to Wave Browser News, the Bulldogs’ plan prompts the team to lean more heavily on Lawson Luckie, Jaden Reddell, and Ethan Barbour if Williams cannot take the field.

On the defensive side of the ball, Jonah-Ajonye frequently plays in support of Gabe Harris, leaving Isaiah Gibson as the next man up at the defensive end position. Kruah primarily contributes on special teams for the Bulldogs, where the roster retains strong depth at the top of the linebacker position through Raylen Wilson, Chris Cole, and Justin Williams. Outside linebacker Amaris Williams, an Auburn transfer who has not appeared in a game this year, was ruled out on Wednesday with a knee injury.
Roster Adjustments on Offense and Defense
Other roster movements saw wide receiver Isiah Canion removed from the availability report entirely on Thursday, signaling he is cleared to play after missing time since the Arkansas game. Wide receiver Thomas Blackshear is now probable with a collarbone injury after being listed as questionable earlier in the week, while defensive back Tyriq Green was downgraded to out due to an ankle injury.

The SEC will release an additional availability report on Friday followed by a final update 90 minutes before kickoff. The Georgia-Ole Miss game is scheduled for a 7:30 p.m. ET kickoff on ABC.
