Utahns looking to ring in the New Year will have a chance to do so this winter with Post Malone, as the rap-turned-country artist headlines a New Year’s Eve Festival at the Delta Center, sltrib.com reported.
A Massive Winter Lineup at the Delta Center
The festival performance features special guest Alesso, a house and EDM artist. Their performances anchor Smith Entertainment Group’s Winter Weekend, a massive celebration of culture, entertainment, and sports spanning four days.
The weekend starts with a game between the Utah Jazz and New York Knicks on Dec. 30. Rice-Eccles Stadium hosts the 2027 National Hockey League Winter Classic between the Utah Mammoth and Colorado Avalanche on the final day of the year. After the final buzzer, fans can trek to the Delta Center to see Malone perform.
Over 6,000 tickets for the concert, costing less than $125, will be available for fans. Presale access starts on Oct. 29 at 10 a.m., and fans can sign up to join at utahwinterweekend.com. Regular tickets go on sale Oct. 30 at 10 a.m.
The sports schedule continues after the clock strikes midnight. The Jazz play the Boston Celtics on Jan. 1, and the Mammoth take on the Vancouver Canucks on Jan. 2 to round out the weekend.

Building a New Holiday Destination
In a news release, Smith Entertainment Group chairman and CEO Ryan Smith explained that their goal was to design a weekend experience unlike any prior event in Utah.
We’re bringing four days of sports and entertainment together to create something special for Utahns and give fans from across the country a reason to make Utah their New Year’s Eve destination. That’s the vision behind Winter Weekend and exactly what we want Utah to be known for.
