Dark Mode Vols Host Ranked Kentucky in Historic Homecoming Showdown
Two ranked Southeastern Conference rivals will meet under the lights at Neyland Stadium on Saturday, November 7, as the University of Tennessee hosts the University of Kentucky for its annual homecoming game, utk.edu reported. Kickoff is officially set for 6:15 p.m. EST, with a national broadcast scheduled on ESPN.
This weekend marks the 122nd gridiron meeting between the Vols and the Wildcats. It also marks the first time since 2022 that both programs enter the matchup carrying spots in the AP Top 25, according to foxchattanooga.com. Tennessee enters the contest ranked No. 16 following a narrow 27-24 loss to South Carolina, while Kentucky rolls into Knoxville ranked No. 9 with a six-game winning streak.
Tennessee Debuts New Dark Mode Uniforms
Tennessee will debut its adidas “Dark Mode” uniforms for the occasion. The specialty kits feature an orange Power T logo on the front collar, traditional stripes on the pants, and the historic program slogan—“I will give my all!”—printed on the inside collar. Concessions across the stadium, excluding grab-and-go locations, will run at half price during the opening hour from 3:15 to 4:15 p.m.
The homecoming festivities begin well before Saturday’s kickoff. The campus will host the annual Homecoming Parade and Vol Walk. Former Lady Vols softball star Monica Abbott, who led the program to three consecutive Women’s College World Series appearances from 2005 to 2007 and was recently inducted into the National Softball Hall of Fame, serves as this year’s grand marshal.
Game day itself packs a dense schedule of campus events:

Campus Road Closures Begin Early Saturday
With thousands of alumni returning for the homecoming game, campus traffic management will shift significantly. Starting at 5 a.m. on Saturday, Peyton Manning Pass and Phillip Fulmer Way from Cumberland Avenue to Lake Loudoun Boulevard will close to all vehicle traffic. Parking lots open at 7 a.m.

All tickets and parking passes for the game are strictly digital. Fans must access them through a mobile device and download them ahead of time to an Apple Wallet or Google Play, as screenshots and static QR codes will not be accepted at the gates. Ticket representatives will be stationed at Peyton Manning Pass and Gates 10, 21, and 23 to assist attendees.
For those avoiding campus parking, Knoxville Area Transit is operating shuttle routes starting three hours before kickoff. Public parking is also available in downtown Knoxville garages and lots, with rates ranging from $3 to $60.
