Oppo has launched its compact flagship tablet, the Oppo Pad Mini, featuring an 8.8-inch 144Hz OLED display and a Snapdragon 8 Gen 5 processor, with a Lavender Purple finish.
The compact tablet race has a new contender as Oppo officially debuts its first small-format flagship device, pairing high-end silicon with a pocketable frame. The company initially showcased the Oppo Pad Mini in China during April 2026 before setting its sights on international markets.
Snapdragon 8 Gen 5 Performance and 144Hz OLED Display Specs
Underneath its ultra-thin profile, the hardware packs serious computing power. The tablet runs on a Qualcomm Snapdragon 8 Gen 5 processor clocked up to 3.8GHz, paired with an Adreno 829 GPU. Built for demanding multitasking, the device ships in an 8GB RAM and 256GB storage configuration, operating on Android 16-based ColorOS 16 equipped with the Trinity Engine performance booster.
Visuals anchor around an 8.8-inch 2.5K OLED screen sporting a 2,520 by 1,680 pixel resolution. The display supports a smooth 144Hz refresh rate, a 240Hz touch sampling rate, 344 ppi pixel density, and a peak brightness of 1,600 nits. Uniquely, the panel utilizes an anti-glare matte finish designed to mimic paper-like feedback when paired with a stylus.
Battery Life, Camera Setup, and Sleek Physical Dimensions
Powering the compact build is an 8,000mAh battery supporting 67W wired fast charging, though early technical leaks also referenced a 44W standard in preliminary testing specs. Optics are kept minimal with a single 13-megapixel rear camera and an 8-megapixel front-facing sensor tailored for video calls and document scanning.
The device measures a mere 5.46mm in thickness and weighs approximately 282 grams, incorporating connectivity options like Wi-Fi 7, Bluetooth, and a USB Type-C port alongside a full array of motion and environmental sensors.
