Country music artist Russell Dickerson is expanding his resume with a guest cameo on ABC’s 9-1-1: Nashville, Billboard reported. The episode, titled “In Cold Blood,” is scheduled to air Thursday, Nov. 5.
Sharing the Screen with LeAnn Rimes
During the upcoming episode, Dickerson will share scenes with fellow country singer and cast member LeAnn Rimes. Rimes plays Dixie Bennings, a character described as a former backup singer and old friend of Capt. Don Hart.
“This was a whole new experience for me and it was incredible!” Dickerson told Billboard. “The cast and crew made me feel right at home on set, especially LeAnn. She was so welcoming from the start and offered some great advice along the way. I feel like there’s some acting in my future!”
Plot Details and Country Music Cameos
While specific details about Dickerson’s role remain limited, the episode’s logline indicates that a figure known as The Pharaoh will target a flight carrying Dixie. Elsewhere in the episode, a new dispatch manager arrives to lead Cammie and her team, while Rogue shares details of a tragic past with Don and Ryan. The logline also notes that Dixie will perform and ultimately spill a secret during her set.

Dickerson is not the first country music artist to appear on the series. Kane Brown starred as himself in the premiere episode of 9-1-1: Nashville, and MacKenzie Porter holds a recurring role as an emergency room doctor. Dickerson previously made a guest appearance during the 2023 season three finale of Call Me Kat.
To date, Dickerson has earned five No. 1 hits on Billboard’s Country Airplay chart, including “Happen to Me” and “Yours.” He also secured a top 40 hit on the Pop Airplay chart with “I Remember,” a collaboration with Cheat Codes, and released the album Famous Back Home last year.
