Foxborough Arrest Ends Manhunt for Juvenile Wanted in Boston Double Murder
A multi-agency law enforcement task force caught up with a juvenile fugitive in Foxborough, Massachusetts, bringing an end to a manhunt stemming from a deadly shooting in Dorchester, and boston.com reported that the minor, whose name is withheld due to age, faces two counts of murder and a firearms charge.
The arrest on November 4, 2026, marks a major development in an investigation that began on the night of May 24, 2025. Boston Police officers responding to a 9:47 p.m. distress call found two men suffering from gunshot wounds at 38 Franklin Hill Avenue. Walter Wilkens, 36, of Quincy, and Anthony McIntosh, 66, of Dorchester, both succumbed to their injuries after being rushed to local hospitals.
Inside the Multi-Agency Operation
Suffolk Superior Court issued the arrest warrant on the day of the raid. Members of the U.S. Marshals Service Massachusetts Fugitive Task Force moved in on the suspect in Foxborough, securing the apprehension without incident before transferring the teenager back to Boston.
The task force operation brought together federal, state, and local personnel, including the Boston Police Department Fugitive Unit, the Massachusetts State Police Violent Fugitive Apprehension Section, and the Foxborough Police Department. Dennis Matulewicz, Attorney General-designated U.S. Marshal for the District of Massachusetts, emphasized the scale of the collaboration.
“While no arrest can undo the tragic loss of two lives, we hope today’s apprehension brings some measure of comfort to the victims’ families and moves them one step closer to justice,” Matulewicz said in a release detailed by usmarshals.gov. Dennis Matulewicz
The U.S. Marshals remind the public that criminal charges are accusations, and defendants are presumed innocent until proven guilty in court. Anyone with information on outstanding state or federal fugitives can contact the Marshals at 1-877-WANTED2 or utilize the USMS Tips App.
