Southern Gaza Operations and Destruction in Khan Yunis and Rafah
Operations in the southern part of the territory added to the casualty count as artillery fire hit a home in the al-Mawasi area, northwest of Rafah, injuring seven people. In Khan Yunis, military forces carried out demolitions of residential buildings in northeastern sectors while heavy gunfire targeted surrounding residential areas. Eyewitnesses reported that smoke grenades deployed near the Bani Suheila roundabout set fire to multiple tents housing displaced families.
Concurrently, naval vessels opened fire off the coast of Gaza City, while renewed artillery bombardment struck the al-Sudaniya area in the northwest. Officials confirmed that an earlier strike in Gaza City claimed the life of Ahmed Khamis Abu Najeh, who succumbed to injuries sustained a week prior.
