Carroll College Volleyball Enters Final Regular Season Weekend in Helena
The Carroll College volleyball team enters the final stretch of its 2026 regular season this weekend, hosting Bismarck State and Dickinson State on Thursday and Friday at the PE Center.
The Fighting Saints hold a 17-10 overall record and a 12-8 mark in conference play. Having already secured their spot in next week’s Frontier Conference Championship, the squad aims to climb higher in the league standings during these final two matches against opponents situated below them in the conference tally.
Saints Battle for Tournament Seed Ahead of Weekend Games
Carroll currently occupies sixth place in the conference standings, sitting one game behind both Montana Western and Providence. The Saints split their season series against the Argos, while Montana Western holds the head-to-head tiebreaker after securing two wins earlier this fall. Because Montana Western and Providence face each other in Great Falls on Friday, one of those teams is guaranteed to lose.
Depending on how weekend results shake out across the league, the Saints retain an opportunity to climb as high as the four-seed for next week’s conference tournament. Carroll sits two games clear of Thursday’s opponent, Bismarck State. The Saints dropped their initial matchup against the Mystics back in September during the final match of a four-game stretch in five days. Meanwhile, the team collected a four-set victory over Dickinson State the night before that September meeting.
Senior Night Recognition in Helena
Friday night’s contest against Dickinson State provides an opportunity to honor four seniors making their final regular season start on the PE Center hardwood. Lauren Heuiser of Helena, Montana, Jansyn Carrizlaes of Sunnyside, Washington, Norah Allen of Great Falls, Montana, and McKaila Balcom of Pasco, Washington, will be recognized for four years of service to the volleyball program, the campus, and the wider Helena community.
Both matches are scheduled for a 6 p.m. first serve.
