East Lansing Farmers Market Celebrates Annual Autumn Fest at Valley Court Park

Community members can head to Valley Court Park this weekend as the East Lansing Farmers Market hosts its annual Autumn Fest on Sunday, Oct. 4, from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m., cityofeastlansing.com reported. Located at 280 Valley Court, the seasonal gathering brings together family-friendly activities, live music, and Michigan-grown agricultural products as the market heads toward the final weeks of its 2026 season.

This year’s festival features a packed lineup of children’s entertainment, including pony rides, a petting zoo, pumpkin painting, carnival games, face painting, and lawn games. Alongside the festivities, regular market vendors will offer farm-grown produce and specialty goods, such as fresh fruits and vegetables, artisan bread, meats, flowers, honey, and maple syrup.

Musical entertainment anchors the afternoon schedule. The Groove Doctors are slated to perform live from 10:30 a.m. to noon, followed by StringVille from 12:30 p.m. to 2 p.m.

Free Parking Options Available for Event Visitors

Visitors driving to the event can utilize free parking in non-permit spaces along Valley Court Park on Oakhill Avenue, as well as spots marked for the Forster Woods Adult Day Care Facility on Hillside Court. Additional nearby options include the parking lot at the East Lansing Hannah Community Center, located at 819 Abbot Road, and downtown public parking structures, which offer free parking on most Sundays. Drivers can check real-time space availability in the downtown garages online through the City of East Lansing live parking portal.

Organizers note that volunteers are still needed to support Autumn Fest and the remaining events on the 2026 calendar, which include Pet Adoption Day on Oct. 11, Robotics Fest on Oct. 18, and Halloween on Oct. 25. Those interested in volunteering can sign up via the city’s online sign-up portal.

To ensure accessibility for all shoppers, the East Lansing Farmers Market accepts Bridge Card, Double Up Food Bucks, Senior Project Fresh, and the Michigan Women, Infants and Children (WIC) Produce Connection. The 2026 Autumn Fest is generously sponsored by the Lansing Board of Water and Light and the East Lansing Downtown Development Authority.
