Florida Gators host recruits for Oklahoma night game in the Swamp
The Florida Gators return to the Swamp on Saturday night to host the Oklahoma Sooners, marking the first time in a month that Jon Sumrall and his coaching staff will welcome prospects to campus. Several key members of the recruiting classes will be in attendance for the matchup.
Saturday night gives multiple commits a chance to enjoy a night game in the Swamp and connect with each other. Quarterback Davin Davidson leads the charge for the visitor group, joined by fellow offensive commits including receivers Easton Royal, Tramond Collins, Anthony Jennings, and Elias Pearl.
The visitor list also features offensive lineman Peyton Miller alongside linebackers Ellis McGaskin and Ja’Bios Smith. Defensive back Bam Whitfield and defensive tackle De’Voun Kendrick round out the pledged visitors expected on campus.
Class of 2028 targets and official visitor details
Beyond the current commitment list, the coaching staff is turning attention toward future cycles. Offensive lineman Moreno Fisher arrives in Gainesville as an official visitor this weekend. Florida has recruited Fisher hard to close out the 2027 class, sitting in a good spot with the prospect as his offer sheet grows.
Younger prospects from the Class of 2028 are also making their way to campus, led by commitments Armani Strong and Cyion Smith. Defensive end Cassell Cruickshank makes the trip to the Swamp alongside Chaminade Madonna receiver TJ Issac and Marist High offensive lineman Cooper Martenson.
Additional 2028 visitors include offensive lineman Nikolay Petrushev from East Lake High, Maxx Jones traveling from Texas, and Grayson Williams arriving from North Carolina. Defensive end Prince Che visits for the second time this fall, joined by Mikel Morgan from Lake City and Vero Beach defensive lineman Josiah Taylor.
Linebacker Deshawn Simmons makes the trip from Texas, while defensive backs Jamarion Hillsman, Dominick Harris-Payne, and Tyler Boyd round out the secondary visitors. Georgia defensive back commit Nick Carroll is also scheduled to be in town as he continues to show other programs interest.
