Tina Rae Bymaster, a dedicated healthcare professional who spent over three decades serving the residents of Franklin County, passed away on Wednesday, November 4, 2026. She was 63 years old. Her death followed a courageous three-year battle with cancer.

Born in Elgin, Illinois, Tina’s life was defined by the labor of nursing and emergency medical services. Her thirty-year tenure represents a significant investment in local public health. For the families of West Frankfort, her work in EMS meant that she was frequently the steady hand present during their most vulnerable moments.

A Life Rooted in Service and Family

While her professional life was centered on the well-being of others, those who knew her describe a woman who found her greatest satisfaction in the unpretentious rhythms of home. She preferred the company of a good book, the quiet progress of her garden, or the simple tradition of following her favorite game shows.

Her family, particularly her grandchildren, stood at the center of her world. She was a fixture at sporting events, consistently showing up to cheer on her children and grandchildren.

Tina is survived by her mother, Betty Jo Stoner-Russell, and her four daughters: Amanda McClure, Ashley Bymaster, Amy Bymaster, and Allison Bymaster. Her legacy continues through her six grandchildren: Landen Wysong, Kaiden Birkner, Ronnie Duncan, Braxton Bymaster, Carley Foster, and Skyleigh Yard. She is also survived by her sisters, Teresa Downs and Tracey Weidner, and her brothers, Eddie Stoner and Tony Stoner, along with their respective spouses.

The Final Arrangements

The transition from a life of active service to a final remembrance will be marked by a graveside service this Saturday, November 7, 2026. The service is scheduled for 11:00 a.m. at Boner Cemetery in West Frankfort. The Parker-Reedy Funeral Home is overseeing the arrangements, and friends are requested to gather at the cemetery prior to the start of the service.

Tina joins those who preceded her in death, including her husband, Jeffery Bymaster; her father, Charles Stoner; and her stepfather, William Russell. As the community gathers at Boner Cemetery, they do so to acknowledge the passing of a local caregiver whose impact was measured in the consistent, compassionate care she provided to Franklin County for thirty years.
